If one can have unlimited desires and expectations, one can have unlimited gratitude.

Remember that by appreciating everything, one allows the attributes to grow. The attributes need to be allowed to grow and not be diminished.

Desires and expectations diminish the attributes. Desires and expectations are unwanted emotions.

They are created by the material mind. They are endless as they continue to grow.

Everyone has desires and expectations but not many have gratitude. Gratitude allows the attributes to grow.

The more grateful one is, the stronger the attributes. Without gratitude, the attributes will diminish.

When the attributes are weak, unwanted thoughts and emotions arise. They become more powerful.

Remember that every thought and emotion is a choice. One allows these to be created or one prevents them.

When one has unwanted thoughts or emotions, one must be aware that one has chosen to allow them. One has chosen them over the attributes.

Remember that only when the attributes are strong can the soul be strong. Only then can one be helped and guided by the soul.

Everything is a choice. One must make the right choices.

Everyone has been conditioned to have desires and expectations.

Very few people are completely free of these. Even those on the true path have these.

They may have fewer desires and expectations but they still exist. They are still created by the material mind.

All desires and expectations are created by the material mind in order to diminish the attributes. They are unwanted thoughts and emotions.

Having desires and expectations for certain things is not better than having desires and expectations for other things. They are all the same as they are material desires and expectations created by the material mind.

A person who has desires to save the trees and in the process raises money from the government or deprives the farmers is the same as a person who has desires to destroy the forest and construct a factory which will provide employment. Both have desires and expectations. Neither is better than the other.

One will be considered to have better motives than the other depending on the thoughts created by the material mind. Remember that everything is created by the material mind in order to condition and control.

By having desires and expectations, one is trapped in the material world. One is trapped through attachments for these.

Only when one is free of all desires and expectations, can the attributes grow. Every desire and expectation diminishes the attributes.

When one has gratitude, the attributes grow. The more gratitude one has, the stronger the attributes are.

One chooses this at every moment. One can have gratitude at every moment or one can take everything for granted.
